Who We Are deco A Brief Company Overview
Adam Coon is the Executive Vice President of ARC Consulting Group, a consulting firm with offices in Fayetteville and Wilmington, NC that provides advanced networking services to small to medium sized organizations in NC, SC and VA.  He consults regularly with executives from a variety of industries to help design, install and manage reliable and resilient networks.

ARC Consulting Group was founded in January 2000.  Prior to that, Adam was a team leader of the United States Air Force's "Scope Network" unit at the Air Force Communications Agency headquarters at Scott AFB, IL.  His team's responsibility was to diagnose and correct networking issues impacting Air Force base networks around the globe.  In 1999, he was hand-picked to travel to Washington D.C., to help establish the Department of Defense's Computer Network Defense systems under the direct order of the Secretary of Defense.  This Joint Task Force, operating in a Top Secret level facility, had the mission of monitoring and alerting all of the DOD's networking assets to any computer network based attack whether it was intended to gather information or to disrupt network services. In 1994, Adam held the position of Network Engineer of Pope AFB's Base Network Control Center.  He designed and presented a well thought out network backbone upgrade solution to the communications commander of headquarters Air Combat Command in Langley AFB, VA that was selected for implementation at Pope AFB.  His plan was so well received that it allowed Pope AFB to receive the funding necessary 2 years ahead of schedule.  His design was integrated into a standard network design for Air Force bases worldwide.Adam originally moved to NC in 1989 where he attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering in 1993.  After graduation, he married and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.   Adam and his wife have been married 22 years and have two children.  They are active members of their church and the Fayetteville Force Soccer Club where their sons participate.
